Organised since 2008 across Yıldız Holding, the ‘Stars of the Year’ award ceremony went global for the first time this year.
A total of 206 projects applied for the ‘Stars of the Year’ awards, breaking an all-time record, as all companies under Yıldız Holding participated in the contest.
In 2016, the projects that applied for the awards made a contribution of 46 million dollars to Yıldız Holding. In the past four years, 549 projects have contributed a total of 159 million dollars to the organisation.
This year, the Stars of the Year event focused on digitalisation. “I believe that digitalisation should be rewarded,” said Yıldız Holding’s Chairman Murat Ülker. “Not because it’s a trend or because it’s attractive or because I’m a dreamer but because digitalisation is a must for survival.”
